ACT I
SEBASTIAN FIELD
Sebastian Field has been a mainstay of the Canberra creative circuit for over ten years, performing in bands such as Cracked Actor, Burrows and Julia and the Deep Sea Sirens. 2019 sees him reinventing himself as a solo performer with the release of his debut, Picture Stone.
The soul of Picture Stone lies in the concepts it deals with, as relayed through the lyrics of key tracks and artefacts otherwise dotted throughout the collection of songs. Outside of his creative endeavours, Field has committed himself to unpacking and exploring his childhood for the past many years, a process which has markedly influenced the album.
Says Sebastian: “The technical core of the project is the capture of aural qualities of varied locations around Canberra, but the emotional core of the album lies in my growing understanding and acceptance of myself and my love towards my mother.”
Having just completed his “Picture Stone” Australian/New Zealand Tour this will be his exclusive Sydney Show.

ACT II
RUBEN NEESON
Ruben Neeson’s set is made up of dark, country and folk-inspired songs. Coming off the back of his debut release ‘Cut The Branch’, Neeson is proud to release his second body of work, a Double A Side – “Moonlit Spell & The Sound”. The two songs were recorded over the summer of 2018 between Linear Recording Studio and Neeson’s home, with housemate/producer Colby McQueen at the reins. He’ll be performing these plus other intoxicating cuts with Harry Fuller and Ben James.

ACT III
JULIA JOHNSON
Julia Johnson is an Australian singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist. Autumn 2017 saw Johnson’s first musical release “Melissa” since folding her long-standing country-folk band, the Deep Sea Sirens.
Keeping hold of her menagerie of traditional folk instruments, Julia has put down her guitar to delve further in to autoharp, synths, banjo, and her vintage Casiotone MT-65.
The past few years have been spent between Johnson’s hometown Canberra, Berlin and Sydney, where she is currently based.
Having recently toured with Happy Axe Julia will be performing with Joe Gould and Paul Liao.
“Love the playful guitar plucking and that lilt of Julia’s voice” – Zan Rowe, TripleJ
“This confidently straddles the lines between slightly folk-tinged, rustic sounds and a bright-eyed pop sensibility, with good lyrics to boot. Can see this going nuts with a slightly older triple j crowd.” Al Newstead, TripleJ
